Maternity Waiting Homes in Central America support the church's mission to evangelize the remote Cabécar indigenous tribe. Casa San Francisco, a 20-bed Maternity Waiting Home, was established to provide essential assistance to at-risk women in childbirth. These women often live far from medical care and may face serious health issues without intervention.

This ministry was initiated in 2013 and has achieved significant success, resulting in over a 50% reduction in maternal and infant death rates. The goal now is to replicate this success in Mwanbani, Tanzania, by establishing another Maternity Waiting Home. Our food programs involve purchasing large sacks of maize, a type of corn meal, to support the impoverished regions of Tanzania. For example, the St. Thomas Mtube region benefited from our donation around Christmas time.
