WATER IS ESSENTIAL TO THIS NEW PARISH ON ZANZIBAR

 

Water may surround this Island off the Coast of Tanzania but life-sustaining fresh water is much needed to support life on the Island. Please let’s give Father Andrew Kasa the pastor of Our Lady of Perpetual Help on Zanzibar Island, Tanzania, and his parish vitally needed water. Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish BUMBWISUDI is one of the most recently established and inaugurated in this Catholic Diocese of Zanzibar 1st Jan 2021. It is located in a very historical place on the Island of Unguja: Christians are the minority consequently most Christians don't have access to better basic fundamental human rights like education and medical services to mention but a few. Catholic Diocese of Zanzibar has about twenty 20 priests of which 08 are missionaries Namely, Apostles of Jesus and Spiritan respectively. Previously this  Parish was being run by the Diocesan Priest of the local Church of Zanzibar.

Following the untimely death our the then Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Vincent Shio who succumbed to covid 19 on the 1st September.2022: Bishop ordinary Bishop Augustine appointed Rev. Fr. Andrew Mukasa OCHIRA, AJ of the Religious Missionary Institute of the Apostles of Jesus.
