Worldwide, one in nine people still lacks access to clean water. The rural areas we serve, located on the outskirts of Dar Es Salaam and the remote Island of Zanzibar in Tanzania, face a daily and challenging task of obtaining clean and safe water. Without water, they are unable to grow food, build housing, stay healthy, attend school, or maintain employment. Diseases such as cholera and typhoid are widespread.
