CARITAS VERITATE MISSIONS exists to put faith, hope, and love in action in poor communities on the peripheries, and to share the riches of the Catholic faith. Read more about our great history.

Caritas Veritate Missions is a 501c3 non-profit organization and currently has active ministry sites in Tanzania, Africa and we hope to continue to impact other communities globally.  In 2013, we founded the St. Francis Emmaus Center in Costa Rica as part of our Love in Action programming to provide rest and recuperation time as well as support and health education to pregnant Cabecar mothers who lack access to health services. Completing our new 30-bed facility in 2017, the St. Francis Emmaus Center continues to provide housing and lodging for at-risk indigenous moms and children. Through our efforts, we helped reduce infant mortality by 50% in the Central American region of Turrialba Costa Rica.

With your help, Caritas Veritate Missions is bringing sustainable change founded on Christ’s presence to some of the world’s most vulnerable communities. When you become a supporter, you put faith, hope, and love into action, and to fulfill Christ’s mandate to spread the Gospel, especially to the poor. Our apostolate works in the areas of human relief and evangelization! Our record of success includes a pregnancy waiting hostel that reduced infant mortality by fifty percent in one region of Central America and completed water wells in several remote villages in Tanzania, Africa. We are successful in bringing water to over 7,000 people.

Caritas Veritate Missions seeks to complement Christ’s work of compassion for the poor by working alongside developing missions in the areas of support for water well projects, evangelization, sending out lay missionaries, chapel building, and “pregnancy waiting hostels”.

“To intensify the apostolic activity of the people of God,(1) the most holy synod earnestly addresses itself to the laity, whose proper and indispensable role in the mission of the Church has already been dealt with in other documents.(2) The apostolate of the laity derives from their Christian vocation and the Church can never be without it. Sacred Scripture clearly shows how spontaneous and fruitful such activity was at the very beginning of the Church “(cf. Acts 11:19-21; 18:26; Rom. 16:1-16; Phil. 4:3).

Our Vision

At CARITAS VERITATE, we consider ourselves bigger than individual points on a map.

We want to be the connective tissue of the Body of Christ, bringing together the churches, individuals, and communities to play an important part in one another’s stories. YOU have the chance to be that connection when you donate, advocate, and become part of our story.
